What I’m Loving Right Now: Rethinking My Base Color

Neutrals don’t have to be boring, and forget about basic black.  We aren’t sure if you have noticed, but not everyone looks great in it.  Take Stoltz Image for example, have you ever seen Shelbi in black?  No way!  That’s because it isn’t her best color.  What about Elaine?  Most likely, every time you see her, she is wearing a nice chocolate brown, while I prefer dark chocolate and navy.  I’m loving this new quote from Michael Kors from the April 2009 issue of InStyle Magazine:

“We all love black.  I adore it!  It’s easy to accessorize and packs well.  But try out navy or a rich dark brown:  Both do everything black does but are potentially more flattering.  Remember, you don’t have to wear fuchsia to get noticed!”
