Why Use a Retinol?
There are three types of retinoids used in anti-aging products, all with different levels of effectiveness: Retin-A, prescription strength retinoid, Retinol, an over-the-counter strength retinoid and retinyl, the weakest of the retinoids. Retin-A contains retinoic acid that fights anti-aging. The non-prescription retinol is converted to retinoic acid by the skin at the cellular level. Retinol is gentler on the skin and has been proven to work as well as Retin-A; just a little slower. The key ingredient must say “retinol”. Retinyls are so weak that they are not proven to work. Retinols work at a deep level of skin enhancing collagen production and evens out pigmentation. They will break down and not be effective if exposed to sunlight. Be patient when using the retinol because it can take as long as twelve weeks to see visible signs. I realized how well they work when I quite using my retinol and saw my lines coming back. So don’t quit using it. Even people with sensitive skin can use retinols. You just need to build up to it by using it once a week to start and then slowly use more often. It is recommended to use around the eyes also; especially since that is where our aging starts to be visible. If you would like to purchase click Retinol Treatment .
